Solid updated room in the Jubilee Tower. Refurb is nice, room is large.
Disappointed in Ballys. We have stayed there the last 6 years. Elevator didn't work dirty and staff didn't show much concern. Will try somewhere new next year.
We enjoyed our stay. It was not the fanciest hotel with the fanciest rooms but it was nice. We got exactly what we wanted, a nice place to sleep for a few hours a night.
Just stayed at Bally's south tower with the updated rooms. Great improvement ! But I think they may have tightened up the slots every morning to pay for it. Next trip we will stay there and play elsewhere .
We really enjoyed our stay. Rooms need an update big time but that is happening soon. The staff were extremely friendly and cocktail service was on point. I love Jagerbomb slushies at Evening Call! Mmmmmmmhmmm.
I love Bally's. The rooms need some updating, but they are large and clean. Prime location. Nice pool. Everyone there is nice. They are my home base when I go to Vegas. Love it!
First time staying at ballys and I loved it. I'm always here with a group for march madness and everyone liked it. We think we found a home for our future trips. $2 taco special is perfect around 1am. Lots of tables and video poker bars are always crowded but fun.
We had friends who gave us free vouchers for four days. It was not clean. Shower had hair from previous people in two different places in the shower and the plug-ins from lamps and tv were covered in dust. Kind of gross. Would never stay there if I was paying. Only positive was the location, but Paris and Flamingo are right next to Bally's and the rooms were much nicer...
Really enjoyed Bally's! Easy check in, huge room and easy to get around. Will stay there again!
Hadn't stayed at this property in a while but was impressed by the service. We had an updated room in the north tower. Good value in an excellent location. Wish they'd paint those fountains in front though.
Ballys is our favored hotel on the strip. In the middle of everything and great staff. Rooms are clean and nice. We will be back!!!
Stayed here for vimfp - the north tower room I had was fine but the fact that the sidewalk cafe is not 24 hrs anymore and the other small cost cutting moves CET is making prevent me from rating higher.
Clean, inexpensive no frills hotel. Staff was efficient and friendly.
Great location. North tower junior suite was a nice room. Couldn't have been better
Stayed in a Jr Suite in the north tower. Had a great view of the flamingo and part of Caesars palace. We could also see the wynncore complex. Room was very clean and well kept, staff was friendly. Casino was lively and had all the popular game and machines. Food choices on site were reasonable, walkway to Paris makes for two resorts in one. Only negatives pool has no Dj or any party atmosphere during week. I was molested for a $3 per night charge for using the safe!!
Clean and spacious room in the south tower. A/C works. Quiet. Shower hot and strong. Guests appear to be in their 40s upwards for the most part. Would stay here again definitely. Going to see jubilee tonight, will let you know how that goes.
We came from Australia and stayed for 2 nights. The location was great, the rooms were fine loads of room and was clean. We loved the $2.00 margaritas. The only bad thing was jubilee, it was like we were watching a bad 60's musical, the only thing that kept me from walking out was the fact I couldn't stop laughing at the cheesy men in sequence thongs. (budgy smugglers) the bill board is very misleading would give 2 stars only because the costumes were good. Food was fine too.
I wanted to rate this property with a 3 1/2. I don't think it deserves a 3 but I know it don't deserve a 4. The hotel room we had the first night sucked. The furnace didn't work, then when it did it was hot as hell. So it was off or hot as hell. In December you do need a little bit of warmth in the room. Also the safe did not work. So next morning. Room change! I would recommend asking for the room we had. 7303 is the address. Big room, close to the elevator, working furnace, clean, and close to the elevator, since it is on the top floor you don't hear the elevator. The view is still good with the room. I gave up wanting strip view rooms. They seem like they are all dumps wherever you stay. The casino.... Ahhh, don't plan on any payout. We gave them plenty of money and no return. So I said I WILL NOT gamble there anymore and went to Ellis Island and had a blast. Overall 3 1/2 star review. I normally give a bed review on all my reviews. The bed is figured into the review. The beds are decent but the pillows suck.
This hotel was terrible the customer we checked in and asked for a room with a view they gave us a smoking room that was so smelly and dilapidated that it was revolting it did not even have a cover on the bed just sheets . We got on the phone and asked for a better room and they accommodated us with a room that was way on the other side of the casino almost a 10 min walk from the casino . We had an excellent view of a roof air conditioner though .When I went to the receptionist line again I was told either a really dingy room with a view or a nice room with no view and a a 10 min walk. I have stayed at most of the hotels on the strip and never been unhappy until my stay here. Ballys is an old rundown mess where the staff really don't seem to care ,do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel .
In my opinion, Bally's has dropped from a respectable value joint to a hotel trying to hang on to a bygone era. The rooms are in very uneven shape, the staff unpredictable and the place should be way cleaner than it is. If you stay here, be aware what you are signing up for. Cheap room, low end place.
Une des meilleures locations à Las Vegas. C'est l'endroit où nous descendons à tous les ans depuis environ 10 ans. Nous le recommandons sans hésiter, à un prix raisonnable, une situation privilégiée et un excellent service
Stayed here on my first visit to Las Vegas about 6 years ago. Rooms here are larger than average for Vegas but fittings are pretty standard. Pool area is standard as well but one thing to note is that the pool has one of the only "deep-ends" in town. Casino is unspectacular but doesn't usually feel crowded. Overall, a no-frills hotel in a great location.
Nice place great location I will be back. This is my 5time staying there.
Wow what a location. Forget about luxury or elegant restaurants because location is everything. Walk out the door and your at the flamingo, harrah's or imperial palce straight to the south. Walking time 5 minutes tops. Cross the street via the walking bridge and your at Ceasar's. Go north to Planet hollywood ( 5 minute walk). Remember the Paris Casino is attached to Bally's so you get 2 casino's in 1. Need to get to the Rio? Get on the free shuttle from Bally's. From the Rio take free shuttle back or go to Ceasar's harrah's for free. Monorail is also in Bally's. Go north as far as the convention center or the hilton or go south all the way to the MGM. Who cares how great your room is because you will be on the go anyway. By the way my stay from aug 22nd thru the 25th was good. Nice clean room and easy check in. Food court wasn't the greatest but the Paris had good restaurants and cheap breakfast. Trust me when I say that the location is what you want. Everything is surrounding you at Bally's and that will save you time and money getting around.
Surprisingly very nice. You can feel the essence of the original MGM Grand all throughout the property. The rooms are oversized, spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately, the essence of Harrah's ownership is everywhere as well. You can see the furniture, tv and other amenities are very old and aged. The room is clean but everything could use a freshening up. Great location at a great price.
I always stay at Bally's simply for the location and I get the best deals here. It is not the swankiest place but, I don't really spend that much time in my room. Stay in the North tower if you can as it is much nicer. Rooms are spacious and clean. I have stayed at Bally's now 5 times and never had a complaint.
Worst place I have ever stayed at. Was there 30 minutes before management moved me to Planet Hollywood. Awful! Must not stay at!
While I won't say Bally's was my worst vacation stay it wasn't the best either by far. Sure the rooms at first looked updated but after about 15 minutes the true picture began to show. The carpet most likely hadn't been cleaned or replaced for several years and it showed. Wallpaper which there is a lot of is peeling everywhere and is really ugly and also dated. If your a large person don't attempt to use the toilet because the stall is so small you'll get stuck. Really! Rooms are very stuffy because not one window will open even an inch for fresh air, air conditioning only and not very good either. Bad back? Bad legs? other? Take a wheel chair, it's a long walk to and from the casino. Very difficult to find a late nite snack unless I'm missing something and maybe I should brought a GPS. Would I stay here again? Probably not, there is much better. Oh and did I mention how impersonal, unfriendly and very unsatisfied with their jobs the staff seemed to be?
I love this hotel/casino. Great staff/cocktail servers/games. Restaurants are a bit weak but their steakhouse is vintage cool. As a 33 year old and my wife 29, we find this place more fun than the dueches at XS at Wynn/Encore any day! Great room size at great prices! Perfect location on the Strip.
Ballys continues to be an excellent mid-level destination. The north tower is still more desirable than the south., rooms are large and elevators are fast. Large check-in area and great staff, starting with the valet, bag boys and housekeeping.
On my most recent trip I noticed while other posher casinos were not very active, Ballys was rocking at all hours of the day and night.
This hotel may not be hip enough for a certain segment of the population, but as their ads say, "Stay Classic". For some of us that is just fine.
I stayed on the N. Tower on the 17th floor for 4 nights and enjoyed the room and housekeepers very much. Went to son & daughters room at Paris and mine was nicer and cheaper than there's. Will stay at Ballys next time also.
Dull dull dull. But great location and big rooms. The north tower rooms are recently renovated and much nicer than the south tower, that seems untouched and unloved since the 1980s; you may well want to pay for the upgrade, because it is a huge difference. If you want the best of Vegas at your feet when you get off the elevator, Bally's will disappoint, but with a north tower room you will be quite comfortable, and with Bellagio, the class of Vegas, right across the street. South tower room: subtract 1 1/2 stars.
I enjoyed my first stay at Ballys. Had a great view of the Bellagio fountains. Didn't even have to use the 20 dollar trick. Just asked for a room with a good view on a high floor. I like the classic Vegas feel of the casino. I didn't like the location of the sports book. And the shops in the back were a disappointment. The pool was just OK. Drinks were way overpriced.
Had a great four night stay in the North Tower. It was our first time with Ballys and we weren't sure what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised. Great room. Very large an comfortable. In fact, I really had no complaints. We would definately recommend Ballys and will stay there again ourselves.
I love Ballys! Nice rooms excellent location and had good luck in their casino!
The hotel is centrally located on the strip, the rooms aren't new but they are well kept, and I would stay here again. Went with my friend and his son that just turned 21, we had a blast one night just sitting out front watching the people walk by. I'd stay here again.
This place is a bit outdated... But that is the only negative thing I can honestly say about Bally's, the rooms are well kept, service is great, the prices are very affordable, and the best thing has to be it's amazing location. I would definetly recommend this place for anyone to stay.
I just returned from a 5 night stay at Bally's. I stayed in the north tower on the diamond floor. The room was very clean even though it's a little out dated. When we arrived the safe didn't work they had to replace it the next day and the cheap old 27 CRT tv wouldn't work properly. Which is important when you doing bad and just want to watch a movie and relax. But all in all this is a good hotel with very good service. Much better than my last trip in feb in Paris hotel. But I can't really complain when my room is free. Stay at planet hollywood. They have very nice rooms.
Very nice hotel, comes highly recommended with central location near Louis Vuitton, Prada, Tom Ford, and Fendi.
Hotel and casino were GREAT! Very clean, and the location as great
Stayed at Ballys last weekend and had a great time. The rooms are a little out dated but were very clean and stocked well with towels and needed supplies. The in room fridge was a nice surprise and the housekeeping staff was very polite and helpful. I enjoyed the location it was so close to the larger and some of the more historic hotels. Out front was an awesome place to sit and watch people go by. The spa was very nice and would easily stand up to the larger hotels, the staff there were very helpful as well. I would definitely stay here again.
While a number of casino pools have relatively shallow depths the Bally's pool has some really deep water. And i like that You also feel you're getting gawked at by the riders of every monorail train that goes by and there are plenty. Pool is quite a hike from the hotel and near monorail station.
Smartly designed property, with easy access to the strip. The casino hasn't had a major renovation since, well, ever, but its one of the easiest to navigate. The baroque style of the rooms, hallways has to feel like a happy accident-- its worn but still looks modern. Good views can be had here, and it's a great choice for young 20 somethings who want to be in the heart of the action. Rooms are very clean. Honestly its the kind of property you stay at, but go elsewhere. Its a perfect launching pad for budget travelers. Casino is rare in the Harrah's fold, they do court table players here in the midrange. Good steakhouse, and the champagne brunch still shines. Recommended for college kids who need a place to crash and play low stakes. The pool area is tiny, but they offer service at the pool area, if youre just looking to tan and sweat out the alcohol it certainly works.
I did not stay at the Bally's hotel, however I did gamble in the casino. The casino was all right... nothing special and you could tell it was older. There seemed to be a lot of drink servers walking around, but we didn't really stay long enough to need to order a drink. There was a good variety of slot machines, but they weren't really friendly at all. There were also your typical table games, but when we were there they were pretty crowded, so we didn't bother trying to check them out. While you're there check out the huge slot machine on the right side in the hallway about halfway into the casino! That was a fun thing to see!
I stayed at Bally's 2 years ago and have spent plenty of time in it for trade shows. Aside from looking and feeling outdated, my biggest problem with it is the air quality. By day two I was in obvious discomfort due to sinus pressure caused by second hand smoke. If you're not a smoker, you'll notice it right away. Even coming from the connected Paris it hits you as soon as you enter the casino, and the non-smoking rooms don't offer much relief either.
This place blows Archie Bunker's flugal horn. The food at their cafe is average at best and over-priced. Waitstaff is friendly but understaffed. I ordered the ham and eggs. The ham was huge and tasty but my eggs were runny and I asked for them over medium. If you want a great meal at a great price, try Ellis Island which is a five minute walk from Bally's. I think this place is a rest home for old cocktail waitresses. One of them must have been 60 years old and her hooters were hanging down by her waist.
A bit outdated and smelly inside. Spent 2 days there in August and it smelled like everyone in the casino all farted at the same time. One cocktail waitress was rude with my wife and I flipped her the "bird." Room was OK for what we paid. First thing we did when we got to the room was pull the comforter off the bed and placed it in the corner. I watched a show on 60 minutes and it said most hotel bedding has "pecker" tracks on them. Ate breakfast there at the cafe. We waited 45 ^&%^ing minutes for our food to arrive after we placed our order. Complained nicely to the waitress and she told me there were recent layoffs and the employees could not keep up with the demand. The food was below average and prioey. When we checked out I again saw the rude cocktail waitress and I flipped her the "bird" once more on the way out. This place sucks.
After reading the various reviews, I was quite skeptical to stay here. Yet, the fan faire I was attending was going to be here so it made sense to also book my nights here. I was actually a very satisified guest by the time I had to go check out. The room I stayed in was the Deluxe room in the North Tower which came with your basic amenities, but it was always kept very clean and the hotel staff were always very friendly. If your looking for a view however, I would advise against the north tower as there were several buildings in front of me to prevent me from enjoying it. I didn't really care though as my time was spent roaming around the fan faire and Vegas. Overall, I had a very good stay and would likely stay here again.
Stay was great as usual. I read one of the reviews from may of this year which commented on the need for a 24 hr diner. They have one and it's called The Sidewalk Cafe. I travel to Vegas about six times a year and stayed everywhere. Ballys is located in the perfect spot. They have a business office second to none. They can handle any request.
Wow! Totally shocked. My wife was sure we would be sorry, even with the grest rate. Hotel and casino were GREAT! Very clean, and the location as great. Five minute walk to the paris and planet hollywood. At these rates would stay there everytime. I must mention a 24 hr diner is very much needed.
Been coming to vegas 6 times a year for past 10 years or so. This used to be a 4 star casino but for all intensive purposes is only a 2-3 star casino now. It just doesn't compare to the service of the other nicer strip hotels and casinos it is near. Lost it's glamour and luster and attractiveness several years ago. Needs a MAJOR overhaul and update throughout. Nothing here but the machines and tram station with the ubderground chotchky shops. Not much to see or offer.
Okay casino.
MY HUSBAND & I WERE IN VEGAS FOR 8 DAYS ON THE MOTHER'S DAY WEEK. WE BEEN GOING TO VEGAS YEARLY FOR THE PAST 25 YEARS & STAYED IN SOME HIGH-END HOTELS ON THE STRIP, THIS YEAR WE STAYED AT "BALLY'S" THE ROOM WAS PLENTY BIG ENOUGH, ALSO THE BATH ROOM. WE DON'T STAY IN OUR ROOM MUCH WHILE IN VEGAS EXCEPT TO SLEEP & SHOWER. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN & QUITE. THE BIGGEST + IS ALSO THE LOCATION. ALL THE WORKERS ARE SUPER NICE, NEVER HAD A HOUSEKEEPER THAT DID THE GREAT JOB AS THE ONE AT BALLY'S. THERE WAS A GREAT PLACE TO EAT DOWN STAIRS CALLED " JOHNNY'S" WITHOUT THE BIG PRICE TAG. ATE OUR BREAKFAST THERE EACH MORNING & THERE TOO WORKERS WERE FRIENDLY. FOR MOTHER'S DAY WE ATE AT THE PARIS BUFFET, A BIG WASTE OF $$$$ & TIME, EVERY THING WAS OVER COOKED, BUT PRIME-RIB WAS RAW, EVEN DESSERTS WAS AWFUL.. NEXT YEAR WE PLAN ON GOING BACK TO VEGAS & WILL STAY AT BALLY'S, IT'S AN EASY PLACE TO FIND YOUR WAY AROUND. THE LOUNGE & OTHER EATTING PLACES ARE ALSO A +.
We really enjoy the rooms in the north tower. If you want a view, ask for the Flamingo side, but beware, it is noisy. After 10 years, we now ask for the quieter side! Rooms are large, come with all the amenities, and housekeeping is usually very good.
My suggestion. STAY AWAY!!! You will be very disappointed with the accomidations.
We had a very disappointing stay. The first room that we were in had a bad air conditioner. It did cool the room, but the room never got cold. It smelled musty and the room felt humid. We stayed in this room one night. The hotel refunded us $50 of our $125 per night rate to change rooms. We were happy with this refund . . . until we entered the next room. This room had two lights burned out. Mildew on the shower walls. The iron left a black stain on a white blouse. Overall, it was ugly. The lampshades were the wrong size for the lamps, spots were on the floor and curtains. WORST OF ALLl, there was a QUESTIONALBE BROWN SMEAR on the wall by the toilet. Very disgusting. When we complained again at the end of our stay, we were told that we should have asked to move again. Personally, I don't think the rooms get better than that.
Bally's is a great middle-of-the-road type place. Or I guess middle-of-the-Strip type place. The rooms are affordable considering the prices of neighboring properties, the beds and bathrooms are good, and the casino is pretty good. While some of the hotel features are a bit outdated and the restaurants are not the best (we rarely eat at Bally's when we stay there) the casino is almost always lively and full of fun-loving gamblers like myself. There are not as many older tourists as you might see in some of the other casinos, but there are also no high rollers. You won't pull up next to Ben Affleck at the Blackjack table here, but how many of us really want to do that? The hotel is also at a great place on the Strip - right in the middle basically, putting all of the clubs and restaurants within walking distance.
We stayed at Bally's 4/19-4/22/05. We came to Vegas for the NAB convention and expected not to get any upgrades. I slipped the check-in guy a 20 and asked for a view. He put us in a Grand Suite with the best view of the Eiffel Tower at Paris and the fountains of Bellagio. It was a huge room with jacuzzi and steam shower. The decor appeared outdated and worn but was adequate and the size and view made up for it. This is the second time we've stayed at Bally's and have had wonderful times.
Bally's is great if you want a cheap place to crash. Their staff is always nice and friendly, their rooms acceptable, their pool is great for lounging.
The have a pseudo gift mall downstairs. Grab some ice cream and play video roulette.
This is NOT the place to be if you're a hipster, pseudo trendsetter or want to be seen.
ok i have stayed at bally's 5 times over a few years. When the rooms were first redone they were pretty nice I thought, (north towers)now they are showing wear and tear. The other tower is much worse, maybe better views, but rooms not redone.
I have to say I will not be staying again due to service. Last 3 out of 5 trips they tried to charge me more than i should pay, both times resolving it after haunting them to research it. Once, ok, twice not so good, but 3 times, does not seem right. I do get comped usually for a few nights but they can keep it now. My sister came down with terrible terrible food poisoning from buffet and was rushed to hospital. The casino did call that night and leave a message asking if they could help. well after 3 nights in hospital we finally got out in time to go right to airport we asked what they could do for us? (thier room was reduced rate, nothing comped). They said nothing, sorry have a nice day. She was not even in room for 3 outr of 5 nights and coudlnt gamble since she was in hospital and husband stayed by her side the entire time. I thought this was terrible and very very poorof them, they ruined our trip (i know stuff happens) but they could have been nice)
finally the views are worse now due to the building and also if you want a lower floor the road noise is horrible i tell you really bad its on a corner and hundreds of cars pile up, etc.
i really hate to say it but after the buffet(which I never did think was good or clean, and had a crappy atmosphere) the rooms, the customer service or lack of i can't go back there for a long time. I will stay at harahs next time with comps or even venture out and pay for a room somewhere , ballys can keep the comps.
Also the strip is really busy now, missing it like it was a few years back, but bigger is better according to the big boys, thats how they earn thier money.

We stayed at Bally's the week of Feb11 Feb15. We were in town for the MAGIC clothing show. Our experience was horrible. We reserved a room with a king size bed and received a confirmation. When we arrived, we were told that we would have to pay another $20 per night if we wanted a king bed. I showed her my confirmation and she said that was based on availability. We were booked at $169 and ended up paying $189 per night. The room was OK, but nothing special. We had one rip off after another and no one cared. We went to the big kitchen buffet and I would rate it a C. If you are into volume, great, but quality no. Without going into all the details, our entire stay was very disappointing. Also, try to send a fax--$9.00 for one page. No coffee in the room because they charge $8.00 for 2 small coffees and one danish from the cart in the lobby. They charge more than many five star hotels we have stayed in and their service and amenities are below average. We would NEVER stay at Bally's again.
We stayed at "Ballys" in Sept...2004 and had a great time...We stayed there last year also and had no problems...Had a great rate of $59.00 and were put in the South Tower...even though I wanted North Tower...They said with the rate we got...would cost us $20.00 more a night for North...Said..NO...as it turned out...We had a great view of the Pool of "Paris" and some of the Fountain... Even though you do have to walk threw the Casino to get to the Pool area....Its not that bad...and no-one really pays attention to whats going on...I do enjoy "Bally's"....because of its Prime Location....and will hopfully be going back again next year.... We were invited guests of Bally's this weekend. When we arrived there was no room for us even though we has reservations (NOTE: EVEN IF YOU HAVE A RESERVATION THAT DOESN'T GUARENTEE A ROOM "A RESERVATION JUST IS A REQUEST FOR A ROOM IT DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE A ROOM EVEN IF YOU PAID IN ADVANCE" A BALLY'S EMPLOYEE TOLD ME) We had to wait an 3/4 of an hour to get our host to talk to us and from the start he was curt with us. and basically told us too bad. We got put into a room with a single bed (2 large men in a queen bed "yea right") then at 5pm they got us into a room. But for me it was a little to late
North Tower room, recently redecorated, was large and clean with good view from 24th floor. Bathroom average size and very clean. A more subdued Hotel/Casino with a great location in the middle of the Strip. On a Monorail stop and connected to Paris. A good choice for the 40+ crowd. Not a lot of kids here. Pleasent and friendly service. Would stay here again.
Average room. Clean room. Nothing really special
Good value and a great location. Room service was very attentive to the few requests that we had. Unable to use the $20 upgrade scheme since they now ask if you want to upgrade to a suite for $25 a night, which by the way, is a good deal. We enjoyed our suite, lots of room and once again, a great value for the location.
My first time staying at Bally's did not particularly impress. Based on word-of-mouth, I expected a lot from the room, but found it to be nothing more than average (at least in the South Tower with two double-beds). There were ripples of carpeting along the hallways which were generally not attractive. Set up in the spcaious bathroom was a nice big bottle of water - at $4 a pop. The location is pretty good but honestly, I expect more all around from Vegas accommodations and especially renowned hotels like this one.
Greetings everyone...We stayed at " Bally's" from Sept. 14-18...and WE JUST LOVED IT...I can't say enough good things about the place...We stayed in the North Tower...and the rooms were so nice...We didn't have a view...but then again...Your only in your room to sleep and thats it, so that was ok with us...We LOVE the pool...so we were there every afternoon and it was nice...We will definitely choose "Bally's again for our next visit... Remember to check in at the Airport...so much easier...

Enjoyed staying in a beautiful, spacious room in Bally's North Tower. Classy furnishings, comfortable bed and nice amenities make this hotel one of my personal favorites. While now considered an "older" hotel, the management has kept the place right up at the top in the best Las Vegas tradition.
Great jacuzzi suite, must have gotten an unremodeled room though, carpet was stained in places and a little worn. But overall, very nice and huge. Lots of mirrors and the jacuzzi was lighted under the water. Two large closets and separate room with bidet. Two vanity areas. Window as long as the room overlooking Flamingo Blvd. with small balcony and sliding door. Housekeeping services excellent as well as staff and valet. Casino well lit but pretty cold. Very fast elevators and plenty of them. Pool pretty cold for being 100 degrees outside, but it felt good when you got used to it. Employees were very cheery and accomodating. Will definintely stay there again.
Nice sized rooms - our most recent stay was in 2001 and we were in the south tower. They gave us an upgrade with a very nice bathroom, tub open to the room with a vanity on each side - could see part of the Bellagio fountain show and the room was only two doors away from the elevator. This property is nice if you want to stay somewhere that's not overrun with kids; plus we like the walk through to Paris.
I like the rooms here. They are quite spacious for an older
hotel and they are kept up very well with nothing showing
wear. The bathroom is on the average size for the regular
room (the kind I stayed in). I liked the pool for the
simple fact that it was more than 3' deep and it was
incredibly large with lots of rooms for lounge chairs. They
also have cabanas and a huge jacuzzi/hot tub. I didn't give
the service a great rating as most of the employees seemed
to have this attitude that they were better than the customers
and that I was just bothering them with my questions.
This is my wifes favorite place to stay. For me it is a good place to stay. Our first stay, our room was at the end of the old tower. When we opened the door, we found out we had been upgraded to a suite. It was a very nice room. Normal rooms are decent sized. Rooms have always been clean, some show some age. Service has always been very good. The worst we experienced was the person next door kept ordering room service and giving our room number.
I was actually suprised at the quality and decor of the room we were given. The room was quite large, had comfortable seating and high speed internet access in the room. The hotel is fairly easy to access as the floor plan is straight forward.
My comment is this...We are staying at "Bally's" in Sept. for the first time....The last few times we stayed at "Paris"...because of a conference we had to attend there...Anyway..Should we when we register at the "Airport"..tell them we want a "remodled" room...and something with a view and close to the elevators???
Thanks....Anne
Great bathrooms... Other than that, pretty lame. I felt like I was in a large Motel 6.
My husband and I have stayed at Bally's on several occasions and each time we have had a nice visit. Rooms are good, location is great. One of the advantages, you don't have to walk thru the casino to get to the elevators to the rooms. Disadvantage, the walk to the pool is long.
After multiple stays at Ballys I have seen their "good" and "bad" rooms. The latter was a very dirty room... That said, usually a good value in a great location.
If you can get one, ask for a remodeled room at check-in. Been staying here exclusively for 4 years. They really know how to treat their regulars!
Very spacious rooms. I was pleasantly surprised. Fixtures were very low key. Not a bad choice. NOTE : Be sure to get a room relatively close to the elevators. The hallways go on forever.
We stayed 1 night at Bally's, in Sept. of 2002. This was our 1st time at this hotel. We usually stay at Treasure Island, or the Mirage. We thought we would try it....and the rates seemed decent. Well..the room that we were given, was nothing like the rooms that we had seen on the internet. The decor was very old, and we felt like we were staying in our grandmother's room. When we used the restroom..we noticed that someone had spread what appeared to have been feces or blood...on the wall...right next to the toilet. We discovered this at 2 in the morning. Although we were grossed out...it was late....and we only had limited time there. So we went to bed...and figured that we would advise the manager in the morning. While trying to fall asleep....we kept hearing the toilet make very annoying noises. That was nothing compared to later...when my other half used the restroom...and the toilet leaked onto the floor.....and onto her shorts. Did I mention that the handle to the sink was also broken? The next morning...we informed management....Darryl....unknown last. "Darrly" was not very concerned....and basically blamed us for not reporting the incident at 2 in the morning. As I said...we had limited time...and just wanted to go to sleep....and get out of there!!..."Darryl" eventually offered to take 30.00 off of the room...very hesitantly. This is how we see it...if you pay 20.00 at state-line....you get what you get. But on the strip..when you pay 130.00 a night....you expect a little bit more. The customer service sucks....as well as the "older" rooms at Bally's. We will be sticking to our normal hotels from now on..I would NEVER stay there again!!

easy checkin. good maid service. wonderful view of paris and belliago from our room at night-ask for this. nice, large bathrooms. we were in the unrenavated part and it still was nice. bedroom larger than usual. service people all helpful when asked. the worst funbook ever. not even a free cocktail. don't eat here without a 2/1. it isn't worth it. don't drink the bottled water in the rooms-they are $4.50 a bottle.
HOTEL AND CASINO EMPLOYEES ARE VERY NICE.
THE POOL IS TOO FAR AWAY FROM THE ROOMS AND WAS ALWAYS FULL OF KIDS.
Stayed at Bally's May 23 for 4 nights. Fortunately I was able to use the VIP check-in line as the standard check-in was mobbed at 2:30. Check-in was smooth and received a room that was as I had expected (having stayed at Bally's on 3 previous occasions)that was big, well appointed and very clean. Housekeeping was up to there usual high stardards. My only complaint relates to the very annoying habit that the casino has of only opening enough gaming tables so as to force you to take any available seat at a blackjack table. No chance to pick and choose. Well, that's not really that bad as all I did was use the walkthru to the Paris where they generally had more tables available. Also of note is that if you think your table play warrants consideration you have to hunt for the casino host office located in a cubbyhole in the Paris walkthru. They are not out there handing out comps. One more thing is that they are only paying 6 for 5 at single deck blackjack tables for a blackjack.
Stay away! Old, worn-out, and lacks service.
My husband and I have visited las vegas twic and each time we have been on the monorail from the MGM Grand, we didn't actually stay at Bally's but did eat a Chang's both times we were there.
This is an outstanding place and the service is excellent we will definitley be eating there again when we return in April 02.
Bally's pools look absolutley fantastic when you pass by on the monorail, ideally I would have liked to stay there but we chose the IP this time.
Very nice rooms with a lot of space! Quality bed coverings, 2 desks, nice decor in hallways. Never a long wait for an elevator.
I'd definately stay at Bally's again.
The theme is one of quiet refinement and elegance. While all the other hotels try SO hard in presenting themselves, Bally's has always had a classic feel of what a true Las Vegas hotel should be. I have stayed at nearly every hotel on the south strip (Bellagio and Venetian included), however, I always find myself coming back to Bally's. Wonderful rooms, great restaurants, a real casino, and a large and spacious pool area. Far above the Flamingo, Hilton, Aladdin, Luxor, Monte Carlo, Treasure Island; Bally's truly is in a class of its own.
Unless you expect to be treated like a King, Ballys is very nice. Rooms, I was in 2 are very nice and quite large. Housekeeping most be a given a piority at Ballys as our room was a fresh and clean after 5 days as when we signed in. The large single bed was comfortable and the room layout with a loveseat, 2 soft chairs and desk made for a nice environment. The bathroom is large and there was never a lack of hot water. Large, attractive, clean and functional best describes my room. Would stay there anytime.
Great place! The only place I stay in Vegas!
27 visits in the last five years. Ballys is one of my favorites because of many reasons; nice large rooms, excellent sportsbook, location, and lack of childern.
Stayed here because of an incredible deal this past summer.
The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are average.
They are supposed to renovate the rooms in the upcoming
year. The pool is below average because it's basically
a big rectangle with concrete. They have a snack bar
out by the pool and those cabanas along with a jacuzzi.
The older crowd tends to stay here, so don't look for
many beauties at the pool come summer time. It's a nice
hotel and it's near the Bellagio, Caesar's Palace and
Paris. In fact, you need not even go outside to get
to Paris because Bally's and Paris are connected through
each of their casino floors. I stayed in room 518 and
it overlooked Barbary Coast parking lot/Flamingo Blvd.
I'd stay at this hotel again in the future.
Newly remodelled rooms are absolutely wonderful.
Service is always great. Glad that rooms are finally being remodeled-rooms are wonderfully large and comfortable
Stayed 6 nights last week in Aug.Rooms are large, clean, nicely done.Excelent water pressure in shower.Large closet. In room safe
$3.00 a day.Local phone calls$1.00.Used laptop, local # $1.00 for
as long as you want. All the employes are very nice!
Another nice stay at Ballys. For the price, you really can't beat it. The pool is a bit far from the rooms though... Quite a trek.
Stayed Feb.2000. Excellent hotel. Rooms are far superior to most other. Good sized bathroom, and amenities. Staff was great. Good choice of food options. Being attached to Paris is also a plus. One of the best values to be had in Las Vegas..
This is a pretty average hotel. The rooms are large but look a bit old. The bathroom is very standard. The walk to the casino is a bit long. Although we were able to book this hotel for only $19 (inclusive breakfastbuffet) we prefer the GOODneighbour Paris.

I was pleasantly surprised as to how nice my room at Ballys was... The room was larger than I expected and had a nice view of Lake Bellagio.
Ballys is pretty average... Rates are good and cheap and the location is really good for the price.
