For starters - Las Vegas is not for children. Had a great time at the Hotel & the staff was top class. Checked in for three nights stay last Thursday. Got there super early, but they let me check my bag. Despite the posted 3pm check-in time, I was in my room before 12 noon. Used the spa gym for a good workout - your $25 resort fee will only get you into the cardio center, which is fine if you are only looking for treadmills, bikes & steppers. Free weights & machines are in the spa gym. Got a cabana at the pool on Friday & it was pure magic. Great service, awesome food & drinks. Wave pool, lazy river & more. All to die for. Cool casino, great layout. Yes, it's a bit of a walk to the pool - if you're 175 years old or just a constant complainer. What isn't a bit of a hike in Vegas? Put a drink in your hand & it's all good. Nevertheless, I'll gladly stay here again. It's tucked away a bit & your cab driver can & will drop you off at the Hotel & not Mandalay Bay if that's what you want. Rooms are spacious - all suites with a living room & 3 HDTV's. Recommended.
Overall not a pleasant stay. For starters, our shuttle dropped us off at the wrong spot and with no porters we walked about kilometer through the casino with two tired kids that had flown from Australia and 4 suitcases and carry on. Check in was smooth for us but just after we saw people wait an hour. The room was nicely decorated with a separate lounge area which was good with the kids but that's where the positives end. It is a very long walk to the pool from The Hotel. You have to go down the lifts to the lobby, walk right through the casino in your swim gear then into another lift and down another floor. Took us nearly 10 minutes to get there. God forbid you forget something. Then when you get there it's almost impossible to score a banana lounge. We were there a week and didn't get one once. The Lazy River requires you to buy your own tube so you have to take it back to your room every day. We felt quite ridiculous walking through the casino with these massive tubes. The kids did have fun in the lazy river but our 6 year old was too short for the wave pool (under 48"), one of the main reasons we went to that hotel. Even if we stayed with her in the water she was still not allowed. So really this is not a family friendly hotel after all. Also pool closes at 6pm which was rather early. In our room there was NO KETTLE!!! I could not make myself a cup of tea and I love my tea. This was most inconvenient late at night, I had to order room service to bring up a jug of hot water and 2 cups and for this they charged $7 plus tip of course. Each time I had to wait around 45 minutes to an hour, by then I was ready for bed. It was so annoying. I did complain about it so they gave me a $100 credit to put towards tea at our final bill but to be honest it didn't help much as it was more about the inconvenience than the money. Also they no longer supply shower caps so take your own. We found the Restaurants within Mandalay Bay to be of a high standard and did enjoy some nice meals but I would not stay at Mandalay Bay again.
Check-in process was very easy. Upgraded to a V suite. I would highly recommend this hotel.
stayed here for my birthday weekend celebration in vegas!! first of all, the staff at the front desk during checkin really acted like he didnt want to be there working. that really bothered me! and we reserved a SUITE 2 months prior and confirmed it a few weeks before the trip! and well, i dont care if it was labor day weekend and that made everything super hectic... i wanted my suite! but the dude at the front desk downgraded us to a standard room! talk about making the guest feel important and special! not staying here in the future because its also too far from everything center strip :(
Very nice. 3rd time to stay. Doesn't disappoint.
Large, lovely V-Suite ... HUGE tub, twin sinks, two separate toilets, gorgeous view, much quieter and more private than the main property, but still close enough to easily access all the restaurants, shops, and other amenities. Staff was always professional and friendly; housekeeping staff were quick, quiet, and very thorough. Nice big desk and comfy desk chair, wet bar, and three flat-screen TVs (one in the bathroom). We were there for 7 days, so I would've like a little more closet space, but it wasn't a real problem. I would definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an elegant, comfortable suite to relax in after being out-n-about enjoying Las Vegas.
Be careful, love the hotel but terrible security. Got ROBBED in hotel for 20k and hotel did nothing to help or Assist
I surprised my boyfriend with a weekend staycation at the hotel. We are from Vegas and I thought we would take advantage of a locals rate. We arrived and our room was awful. It overlooked the roof and had noisy steam stacks for a view. It was dark and loud. There was a sewage odor. I asked to be moved and they said they did not have anything else. We were unable to sleep with the noise and smell. I was later told by friends they use those rooms if you have special rates. I wrote a letter to the hotel and never received a response. The lone for check in was huge and took 30 min. That wait for that room. We will never stay again
Awesome hotel!!!!!! The service is great and the rooms are nice. Will stay here again.
We were put in a low floor overlooking steam stacks having booked 7 months prier. After NYs eve we were able to move to a higher floor looking down the strip which was great. Rooms are looking a bit tired. Good size rooms for a suite and having 1 and half bathrooms is a big plus.was good to have some distance from the center of strip.will look for a more up market suite next time.
We checked into Mandalay Bay in August. We received a complimentary upgrade and wound up staying for 6 nights in a suite in THEhotel. Everything about this place was pretty amazing. The hallway connecting THEhotel and Mandalay Bay had a REALLY odd smell, but that - and the far end of the strip location - were the only downside. I liked the pool, but it seemed to be a little mellow for such a raved-about pool. There was no DJ, far too many families and kids (why do people bring their children!?), and the sand will scald your feet - so bring flip flops. Staying here was probably my best Vegas experience thus far.
Incredible hotel! The whole grounds are very much on par with a fine boutique hotel in New York City. Suites are large and luxuriously furnished. Staff and service are impeccable. A must five -star boutique experience!

This is a really nice place to stay. I'm on day 2 of 4 and it's nice. If I didn't get my suite for 100 a day I wouldn't have stayed here it's not worth more then that per day. You have a $15 a day charge they will charge and most places in this hotel are crazy priced.
Just had a GREAT massage by Tony. What a nice experience the whole spa area is wonderful . Steam room was a nice finish for my visit
Never had a bad experience here. If you have the cash I highly recommend it!
A five star property (in need of separation and distinction from Aria) with the best pool in town. With sister property (Mandalay Bay) and shopping (Mandalay Place) it has everything you want in a ritzy Vegas resort. Ignore warnings of location. The property has a free tram that will connect you to Excalibur and then you're a crosswalk from MGM Grand and their monorail access. The only complaint for the casino would be lack of cheap eats and full pay video poker. But if that's what you want, you avoid the strip. Rooms are nice bordering on luxurious but seem dated compared to newer MGM property Aria. If the prices are the same and you don't have the mega pool urge skip theHOTEL for Aria.
Ok, we tried this hotel becase of a deal sent via e. -mail. You are very removed from the central strip ling walks .Rooms are nice, we suggest the "V suite". It's large and the views are of the strip and airport or the strip and west mountains. Make sure you do not get the strip mountain rooms as they are directly above the facility mechanical area wher HUGE steam stacks roar all day, we actually rejected our room and asked for another but they will first try to stick you in the noisy side WATCH OUT! The staff here and at the Mandalay Bay are very patronizing at first but then quickly become complacent, no attention to detail in the eating establishments, great menu's but POOR EXECUTION, they just don't care union workers or poor management ? The craps tables are staffed with Zombies, actually saw the pit boss say "only three more hours guys" to the other table staff, really turned the table cold. The dice dealers are RUDE and not at all helpful, they need nw management in the gaming area. The spa was very good, clean and nicely appointed with great pools and workout machines, staff there was friendly and helpful. Over all I think the entire property is over rated except for the four seasons hotel which is the top 4 stories of the Mandalay Bay,that's a nice place with attention to detail and you. The hotel staff never refreshed the minibar and we had to call for robes and towels.the staff talks loudly in the halls. Overall...I give this place a C Minus or 2 stars
My fiancé and I stayed here for our Honeymoon. Everything wonderful! Five Stars.
The room service sucks don't order the omlette, girls are kind of fat and busted otherwise everything is great
Four stays at THEhotel and have loved each one. Still some of the best rooms on the strip even if they're a little dated. Service is short of Wynn standards but tops among MGM Mirage having had overall better experiences here than even Bellagio. Still the south strip's top option.
2nd stay at THE Hotel and loved it both times.
Pro's
1. 1 and a half bathrooms
2. True suite with separate bedroom and living room
3. Very quiet away from casino
4. Lots of restaurants
5. Monorail and indoor walkway to Luxor and Excalibur
6. Clean
After 30 trips to Vegas my favorite hotel
Lovely, chic hotel! Very nice.
had a great time! loved the tv in the bathroom, and the room separation. Check in and check out was quick and easy, and the service was great too. I also liked that it was a lot more peaceful getting to our room, but still easy access to the casino. would definitely stay here again.
The best hotel for me and my friends. We can never go wrong at Mandalay!
Stayed 2 days, with some friends of mine, absolutely loved the room the staff was very nice and friendly. Our suite was amazing very spacious. The beds super comfy, it's was like sleeping on a cloud. Bathroom was also very roomy and spacious with a giant tub that came with bath salts, shampoo, and soaps. The SPA, very relaxing and comes usually goodies. But they go out of the way to take care of you. :) Valet/ bell- hop Service quick and made sure that we got all waters, and directions to where we needed to go. Overall one of my favorites to stay. I'll be back for sure !!!
Stayed for 3 nights in Dec. Spacious rooms ( 1 1/2 ) baths and separate bedroom is a nice touch. Very good service. I liked that you didn't have to schlep your luggage thru a casino just to get to your room. Very easy access to Mandalay Bay Casino. Will definately stay again
Exekant views great service would recommend
It's kushetey
Had a drink in bar downstairs waiting for a poker tourney at mandaly. The whole downstairs screamed swanky. I would stay here next time instead of bellagio.
We recently spent 5 nights at Thehotel at Mandalay Bay. After staying at several other properties on the Strip, we finally stayed at THEhotel a few years ago. We will NEVER go back to the other hotels. THEhotel is one of those places where the rooms are wonderful and the service is extraordinary. The ONLY fault I can think of is that it takes quite a while to get into your room when you first check in. We had asked for a strip view, upper floor. We asked for this at 11:00 a.m. and were finally in our suite at 3:00 p.m. But, I think that they had cut back on housekeeping staff; if that is the case, it is understandable. Fabulous property with unbelievable suites. We will NEVER stay anywhere else in Vegas!
Fantastic Hotel. Large two-room suites with 1 and 1/2 baths (extra toilet can save the trip...especially after chinese food). Bed was comfortable, bath tub was huge (could fit two adults easily). Room has a wet bar in the "living room" area so we hosted a cocktail party for 7 other couples. Had a great time (would bring a cooler next time as the only fridge is the "don't touch or it will cost ya' plenty" mini-bar) and the small ice bucket didn't cut it.
A great aspect of THE Hotel I thought was that the entrance and lobbly are far enough away from the noise and lights of the Mandalay Casio that it's somewhat of an "oasis of calm".
Really liked the amenities and the service. Softest plush robes and nice products in the bath.
Food was fine in "THE Cafe" if a bit pricey but we did most of our eating elsewhere so it really didn't matter and what we did charge to the room ended up being comped by the Casino.
Can't wait to stay again.
This is one of the nicest place on the strip. Only the venetion and Paris are better in my opinion
So so, stunning views even from the loo! Boyle service was god but music was sub par.
It was my first time staying here, got a players club rate of $89 a night for TheSuite room. I'd stay here again at that rate but not much more. Bell service was so slow or non existent upon check in. Room was cool. Bed was fine. Pillows beyond sucked. If you're going to stay at this type of place...go to palms place instead.
THEhotel at Mandalay Bay.....hard to describe in words. It's the most amazing hotel we have ever stayed in. In fact, it is the only place we will stay while in Vegas. We tried Harrahs...the Aladdin....and Mandalay Bay. Plus, a time-share condo at Polo Towers. THEhotel is the only place for us. The service is outstanding and the rooms are absolute luxury. It is the best that the city of Las Vegas has to offer, in our humble opinion. One of the highlights of this hotel for us is that you choose whether or not you are going to gamble. You are not assaulted by it as you enter the hotel. It's an amazing place.
We have been going to Vegas for several years....we've stayed in a variety of hotels there, from time-share condos to THEhotel at Mandalay Bay. From now on, Thehotel is the ONLY place that we will stay while in Vegas.
The rooms are amazing. Absolutely amazing......you actually have a suite of rooms all tastefully appointed. Flat screen plasma televisions in the living ro room AND the bathroom. In the bedroom, you have a regular t.v.
I think the aspect of THEhotel that we like the best is the quiet. As you walk away from the Mandalay Bay casino, you hear the casino noises fading away. At THEhotel you have none of it!!! If you want the clamor of the casino, it's only a short walk away. At least you have a choice!!!
As I said, THEhotel is the only place we will stay while in Vegas. It's the absolute best!!!
