This was very close to a five star event. I was concerned because i felt this place was slipping a bit and because we had 10 people in our party. While we did not order any Wagyu beef, we all had steak. I had the filet with blue cheese topping. It was awesome: Perfectly prepared with the exact amount of blue cheese with a very consistent melt. I left it short of 5 stars since I felt the sides were a little small for the price. Service was great and any issues were handled effectively.
Ate here last week and it was great. Portions were huge, service was first class and I honestly can't think of one negative thing to say. Perhaps it's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for and we felt that the price was fine when considering the meal and service.
I have had much better but at the same time they hold their own to where you should not have to leave the property if you are in search of a decent steakhouse. The service was the highlight never allowing a water glass to be less than full and the staff was very easy to talk to. I highly recommend topping your steak with the herbed goat cheese if you enjoy intense flavor.
Great dinner and service. The steak was as good as I've had anywhere and the shrimp appetizer phenomenal. Highly recommend.
Do NOT eat here. Fairly pricey, and not worth it at all - very bad experience. We went with a group of 9 for a special event. My wife really liked her sea bass, I ordered the tomahawk ribeye ($60). The steak was very bland. Seemed as if there was no aging process or even seasoning on the steak. It was a bad sign when they served it with steak sauce. The ribeye seemed more like a sirloin, there was no fat marbling. I didn't finish it all (about a third left), and expected to take it back to the room. When the waiter came to take my plate, he simply took mine and dumped everyone else's scraps onto my leftover steak without hesitation. Side dishes were mediocre, but good wine list. The manager checked on the table of 2 next to us on three different occasions, but never came to our table where the bill was over $1000.00.
So disappointed in this meal. First steak came out dry and flavorless. Replacement was better but overall didn't have the flavor I was expecting. Mac & Cheese was bland and bad. The staff was amazing! Super helpful, knowledgeable and may have worked all night to get me something I would like but I didn't care to make them go through that. I hated writing this review.
For service - Brand gets 5 chips, but because if the overall experience, I have to know off one chip. We were seated toward the back of the restaurant, which I appreciated. I wouldn't have wanted to be right up on the casino floor where anyone walking by could look at your food. The space is very nicely designed/decorated. We had cocktails in the bar the last trip, and loved it so much we went for dinner this trip. Started by sharing a Brand salad with the hubby - shrimp, tomatoes, bacon & green beans is a Vinegarette. I loved it. Then ordered their steak for 2 with Mac & Cheese. This is where it went a little wrong. The Mac & cheese was fine, but not memorable. The steak for 2 was a bone 40oz, but it was pre-sliced, and I think that's where it went wrong. By the time it got to us, it was dry & tough. And the specialty sauces, although really good, couldn't save it. We sent it back, and instead shared a filet, which was delicious and perfectly cooked. Again, I can't say enough about the staff - the manager came out to talked to us, and the waiter was great (prompt, knowledgable & apologetic). I'd eat here again.
We ate here in March 2012. The restaurant is open to the casino but the design limits noise so you do not feel you are in the casino. The ceiling is an interesting leather which brings to mind a western theme. The service was phenomenal, the waiter was on top of things. The steak was really good with homemade sauces to compliment the steak. I would eat here again.
We had dinner there recently with a party of 6 including 2 children. The atmosphere was ok. I did not like the fact that the place was open to the casino. It was a bit noisy and I thank God that nobody was puffing away on a cigarette in our vicinity. The service at the restaurant was excellent, however. We started with the hot rock appetizer. The sirloin was seasoned just right. We then split the ultimate steak for 4 and my daughter had a bowl of pasta. The steak was excellent and comparable to the other steakhouses in town, like DelMonico, Joe's, or The steakhouse at circus circus. The price was average for a good meal. I would go back for the steak but would not enter if the surrounding area was full of smoke.
O had dinner at the bar at Brand. The bartender was awesome. He learned my name so well that he recognized me at the craps table two days later, called me by name and told me to come for dinner or a drink that night.
For dinner I started with a Stella Artois and the King Crab Scampi. That could be one of the best appetizers I have ever had. I can't even describe it but it was awesome. For the main course I had the 7 hour braised short ribs with Elaine's chicken fried potatoes. I didn't care for the potatoes but the short ribs were awesome, super tender and great flavour. The bartender noticed that I wasn't enjoying the potatoes and he brought me a side of Rick's hashbrowns, a potato pattie stuffed with bacon and carmelized onions, you know that was good!
Not a cheap place to have dinner but the service and food were both outstanding!
excellent steaks, goodprice and great service. cant wait to go back!
We, 8 of us had resevations to the Brand prior to arriving in LV. When we saw that it was litterally open to the casino with all it's lights and noice we opted to go to the Craft Staek House at the MGM where it was one of the best restaurant experiences any of us had ever had.
