Waste of money. Most of the food looked like it had been sitting out. And was questionable looking as well. You had to get bread out of store plastic bags on a table several people had mistaken for a plate return. Hardly anything vegetarian. Labels are hard to read.
Needed a quick meal before an event at the Orleans Arena. For 15 bucks, buffet was a great deal. A wide variety of hot and cold dishes. Even had a carving station. Not gourmet, but typical of decent cafeteria food. Nice variety. Plenty of room to maneuver at food stations. Pleasant staff. Will return if at the Orleans.
Stayed at the Orleans in may this year was there for 2 weeks, ate the buffet several times all different meals never disappointed always good food at a good price, just as good as the more expensive strip buffets without the price!
I have only gone here one time and I love it! The only bad thing was that it was too full! Also when I wanted to grab the spaghetti it was extremely hot to hold it! But it was worth getting burned because it was very very good!!
Great buffet for the price, love the veggie lasagna
Can't beat it for the price. Good food and a good variety.
Ate here for lunch on a Saturday in early June. Super busy with locals. Food good, not as good as Gold Coast, but good. Would not hesitate to try it again.
Good!
We've eaten @ the buffet here 4 out of 5 trips to Vegas, for both breakfast & lunch. When we stay @ the Orleans, they usually give us a 2-for-1 buffet coupon, so $8 for two people is a great deal for food in Vegas for above-average food. We've had mixed experiences, but for the most part it's been great, especially for the price.
My family and I vacation to Las Vegas every couple of years and enjoy staying at the Orleans. In the past, the French Market Buffet was an excellent place to eat with a wide variety of food which was fresh and delicious. Sadly, this was not the case when we ate there earlier this month. A lot of the food was over-seasoned and looked like it had been under the heat lamps for a long time. The meat was dry and flavor-less, and one of my kids actually got sick on the ribs. Eating at the buffet was nothing like the pleasant experience we've had in the past.
This is the best low/medium priced buffet in Vegas. 8 islands of various international foods plus a huge dessert island. Dinner is the best, with unusual and well prepared selections from around the world. If you come from California, you can get 2-1 coupons at the visitor center in Primm. But even without coupons, it is still highly recommended. While it is not serving gourmet selections like Paris or Bellagio, dozens of interesting items will be appealing to you at half the price. Free shuttle to/from the Gold Coast (next to the Rio) and Barbary Coast. The huge casino is also wonderful for Video Pocker, 50 cent roulette and $3 blackjack. Cocktail service is outstanding. Upper middle class environment.................
One of best buffets in LV, at an affordable price. Well worth the trip. Free shuttle from the Barbary Coast or Gold Coast every 20 minutes.
We found the food very good, with a large selection. There were a few different items too, like cabbage and corn beef together. We liked it very much. Would definitely eat there again.
avoid the raw oysters THEY TASTE LIKE PURE LARD FAT
exellent seafood buffet
plenty of crayfish
Good comfort food, served by nice people in a comfortable environment at reasonable prices. What more could you ask??
Quick service. As soon as we sat down, someone was there
to ask us what we wanted to drink. A good selection of
different kinds of food from mexican to chinese. Despite it
being off strip, it's a good place to eat and it is comparable
to the Gold Coast, but I don't think it is quite as good.
We found the food here to be very good and at a great price too. We like it so much that even if we are not staying here we usually eat half the time here.
An awesome buffet, the food quality and taste is fantastic. If you are a fan of good ole comfort food then this is the place to go for good food at a great bargain price.
Made a point to visit this buffet for Sunday brunch after reading positive reviews on this website. Wish I could have eaten there again today! The Sunday brunch was fantastic and affordable, but it should be noted that it does NOT include champagne (maybe at one point it did, but not when we were there 4/13/03). I enjoyed fresh fruit, french toast, two different kinds of sausage, belgian waffles, bagels & lox with capers and cream cheese, and fat-free frozen yogurt for dessert. Also tempting was the corned beef hash, scrambled eggs, and hash browns... not to mention the lunch foods they included like egg foo young, mexican foods of all kinds, and soups, salads and sandwiches. Of course, nobody's perfect; stay away from the eggs benedict. But don't miss this meal!
The French Market Buffet has the best food for the price.Any person will find something at the buffet which they will enjoy. The food is fresh, and chefs prepare the food in a proffesional manner. On our last trip to Vegas in early March we had most of our dinners at the Orleans. Save the money you would spend on food at the strip buffetsfor the gaming tables or slots.
After losing over $200 on video poker I wanted to get back at the casino and eat them out of business. Of all the casino buffets I've eaten at this is the one I liked the most. I especially liked the BBQ.
