Best meal I've ever had in Vegas. Prime rib was huge and delicious. View at 9 pm of Fremont created an amazing atmosphere.
I had the chopped salad, strip steak, potato say gratin, sautéed spinach and creme brûlée for desert. All of it was great and the steak was perfectly cooked. Also, the waiter was great with the wine. I ordered by the glass and after ordering a glass of Coppola Merlot he also brought out a taste of another wine I was thinking of trying. The decor is a little been 1970's futuristic but still nice in a wacky way.
Ordered the chicken w/ my bf who had the Oscar signature steak, it was great. Our server Lenore was awesome. Nothing gotten and prices were right!!! The manager Perry came on by to check on us. He was so nice and friendly. One of Oscars Signature broads Amy came on by and TS us stories in between our appetizers and entries about the history and premise of Oscar Goodman and his Mob connections in Vegas as a defense attorney for the mob. The Resterant has such history and class I don't see why it's ever in the Plaza but our cab driver recommended it to us. We had such a great time and on the weekends they have live music from a duo piano player set, they seemed to have played together for a million years. The middle aged folks got up and danced. It was quite a site. We will defiantly be back for round 2!!!!
Visited Jan 26 2013...Sat at the bar and had a nice time. Bartenders were attentive, friendly, but not over-bearing. Hard to screw up vodka on the rocks but the blue cheese olives can make a difference; these were very tasty with a great texture. Just had appetizers and the crab cakes were noteworthy, (a little small), with just a light breading but very flavorful. Patrons next to me ordered the Prime Rib and it looked really good. The "Top Broad" Vanna made the rounds at the bar and of course was very social. Great place to conversate and enjoy a cocktail before hitting the craziness of Fremont Street.
Great meal great cocktails, broads very nice! We will be back, service was also very good.
First visit here was December 24. The 2 of us arrived on time for our reservation but they were running behind so we grabbed a cocktail at the bar which is very nice with great bartenders. They had only been open for a couple of days and it showed, the server was shaky but friendly. We were seated in the dome with a great view of Fremont St. We started with a crab cake (kinda dry) and Oscar's chopped salad (good). FOr main course we had Double bone pork chop which was actually 2 close to 10oz pork chops, way too big (good) and Nickys roasted chicken and artichokes (good). We shared a side of very bitter creamed spinach. Overall a below average meal that might be due to opening jitters. Will give it another chance and I did in April. Review to follow.
