I was surprised to see that the Steak house at TI and Francesco's were gone and in there place was what I assume is a hybrid of the two in the form of Phil's Italian Steakhouse. I sat at the bar and had some pretty shady service from a bartender who would rather have been anywhere else except there. I enjoyed the small bar looking out on to the casino floor and enjoyed a decent margarita.
As it is an Italian inspired restaurant I started with the meatballs which were outstanding. Homemade beef, veal and pork meatballs in a zesty marinara sauce. For my main course I had the Wood roasted chicken marsala. The chicken was overcooked and dry and the marsala sauce was over reduced and bitter. I would have sent it back but the bartender was no where to be found while I ate my entree and he didn't even do a quality check when he cleared my plate.
Overall the food and service were not up to normal Vegas standards, skip this place and go across the street to Carnevino for a real Italian steakhouse.
