Submit Your Vegas Reviews and Win an Apple iPad [CLOSED]

I'm starting a contest and giving away an Apple iPad as the prize!

It's very simple - in about 45 days, I will look at all the ratings and reviews submitted to RateVegas.com and/or via Vegas Mate since today and one random selection will win the prize.

The more reviews you submit, the more chances you have to win. It's that simple.

Have some opinions after your last trip? Share 'em - win a prize...

The Prize:

I'll give the winner a $500 Apple Store gift card, the value of a 16GB WiFi iPad. The winner will also receive a copy of Vegas Mate for iPad 1.0.

The winner will be chosen May 6th, 2010 and the results posted here on this blog. If for some reason I can't get in touch with the winner within 24 hours of the drawing, I will pick another winner based on the same criteria.

If the winner is a review submitted via Vegas Mate, I will have to confirm your status via UUID.

To Enter:

Submit a review to our database, either via our iPhone app Vegas Mate or via RateVegas.com. No purchase is required.

You can have as many entries as you leave submissions. The more reviews you submit, the more chances you have to win.

Think of all the restaurants you've visited, all the hotels you've slept in. Share those experiences with the world and score an iPad!

Entries are valid between March 24th at 8pm PT and May 6th, 2010 at 7am PT.

The Rules:

Don't submit bogus reviews, they will be disqualified and just piss me off. Believe me, these are easy to spot. I hold 100% discretion as to what is a bogus review. Just don't do it. You don't have to write War and Peace, just be sincere and tell us what you think.

Open to people in the United States and Canada only. Void where prohibited by cheeseburger.

My wife keeps detailed records. For instance, we saw "Headlights & Tailpipes" on Friday, April 21, 2006, at the Stardust.. Can I review that even if it isn't open anymore? :-)
Oh, yeah. I won't be commenting as much for the next 6 weeks, or so. I have to catch up on some, uh, writing assignments. Ahhh-sooome.

I haven't been to Vegas in almost a year, but is it possible to do reviews for previous trips? I had wanted to do one after staying at Encore a little over a month after opening, but didn't think there would be an interest.

If you feel that you can accurately portray your trip, it's generally fine to review stuff from past trips, sure.

After running through my extensive list of restaurant reviews I've posted, I realized one thing. I suck at having experienced all that Vegas has to offer. I really need to get to more restaurants and experience more in the town I call home.

I admit that I almost never write reviews but the thought of potentially winning an iPad was tempting. I just spent a weekend in Vegas and it was wonderful. I downloaded the app and used it frequently. My husband and I would be at a hotel gambling and instead of roaming around looking for what restaurants where there we just looked at the app. Saved us lots of time. It was nice to have the menus for those restaurants that posted them. The only thing that would have been nice to have had was a simple map of the strip.

If you need a good guidebook on Vegas get the "Unofficial Guide to Las Vegas". Most of the suggestions and reviews are right on after visiting the city countless times.

Can't wait to go back to Vegas in June. This will be the first time going during the summer. We'll be staying at the Wynn so I hope its everything that people say it is. Things I like to do are eating at the Buffet at the Bellagio and the Wynn. Would like to eat at the M resorts buffet after hearing rave reviews about it especially the open bar. Hope to also visit the XS Club at the Encore.
