Just finished my first walk through of the property... I will be adding some pictures to Flickr in a moment.
What did I think? In short: Wow.
The place is amazing. The attention to detail is impressive. The place 'feels' great.
One thing that detracts a bit is that it is mobbed with people. I hope things settle down tomorrow through Tuesday so I can walk the floor without being pushed around. Parasol Up/Parasol Down in particular is just FULL of people.
The floors, carpets and chandeliers are great looking. The uniforms, glassware and casino tables are striking.
In general, this place looks great. Yes, some things remind me of Bellagio, which isn't a surprise. Wynn clearly learned from some mistakes at Bellagio and fixed them this time around.
Anyway, this is sparse on detail but I have a lot more to see. I will be posting more shots tomorrow, including the room and the pool. Also, dinner tomorrow is at SW, which should be a great time.

God Bless you Hunter.
PLEASE ,Hunter, I am begging you, take some photos of the pool area and the lake show!!!
How are the rooms Hunter?
Does it beat Mirage?
Lots of colors, really.Mr Wynn has again invented a new trend. The next wave of casinos in Vegas will be tackily painted inside.Sure it looks nice and soft, but I still have to see it for myself...
Thanks for the great pics, good job.
Hunter, thanks very much for the comments and the pictures. I didn't expect people to be totally blown away by any new property after an initial walk-through, but the fact that the place impressed you is encouraging.
Looks like you may have made a good choice in holding off on seeing the show. Early reviews, according to Norm Clarke in the R-J today, is that the show "needs a lot of work." I'm staying at Wynn in about six weeks and am scheduled to see Le Reve, so hopefully they've ironed out some things by then. Brian Fey was supposed to have seen the show last night, as well as eat at SW....curious to hear what his impressions are.
Anyway, thanks again, Hunter, and look forward to more commentary, and hope you have an enjoyable stay!
Great pics! Thanks!
Great pictures, I'm looking forward to your analysis. Wynn's attention to detail is evident in all of the shots. I'll hold my final verdict on the color scheme until I see it for myself in September.
I'm greatly disappointed to hear the dreaded 6:5 single-deck BJ has found a place on the casino floor. If Wynn wants to provide a truly great guest experience, why cheat your customers with that scam?
