I will covering the 2005 Casino Design Conference at Wynn Las Vegas, June 22nd-24th.
Beyond getting a chance to rub elbows with those folks that made the resort possible, I'll be touring back of house areas to get a good feel for how the property works behind the scenes.
Also, I'm booked back into the hotel so I can check up on my concerns from my last trip.

I'll be checking out early morning on June 22nd. Sorry I won't be able to meet you. Since I'll be three nights at Bellagio and then three at Wynn, I plan to write a trip report on both.
Today's LV Sun reports on a brief power outage at Wynn:

Someone posted a message May 24 on http://www.lvtalk.com/
describing computer problems:
>>Just back from 5 nights in LV. 3 nights at Wynn, 2 at Bellagio. Wynn is still working out the kinks. I arrived tuesday night from NY about midnight and was told the computer was down and they could not give me a room. They gave me two free drink coupons, said they'd take $100 off room and told me to come back in 20 min.
After retuning to the desk at 12:20am, then 1:00am, then 1:30am and again at 2:00am the finally said I could have a room but no key since the system was still down. Secuity would have to open the door. They upgraded me from a resort room to a tower suite room on the 37 floor.<<
Looking forward to your report from the Casino Design Conference and whether Wynn's back-of-house is as elaborate as Bellagio's.
HI Hunter,
My husband and I are staying at Wynn June 22nd-26th. What is this design conference about? Will you be there then? Thanks for the info, you've answered a lot of questions for us on this site!
This site details the conference:

I will be at Wynn the 22nd-24th. If you have any free time during your trip, I'd love to meet one of my readers!
It would be great to meet you, feel free to email me. By the way do you know anything about the hosts at Wynn? Whenever we go to Vegas other players who "have a host" tell us we really should get set up with a host. We are not exactly high rollers, but we go a little crazy. I was thinking of calling, do you have any input?
Go ahead and call. The host will ask about your play and they'll be frank about whether or not they can help you. Granted, Wynn has a higher level of comp qualification over other properties... Even if you don't succeed at Wynn, don't give up there.
I'll drop you an email.
I received a follow-up email to register for the conference and decided to check the group hotel rates. Wynn was $225/night, yet the Wynn website shows $199/night for the 22nd and 23rd.
I can't stay over for it, but if I like Wynn next month, I may stay there for G2E this fall if the rates are within reason.
