Anyone that runs a Web site tracks all of their statistics such as how many people visited, where did they come from, how long did they stay and what did they look at. We have quite a few more metrics and the amount of data is amazing - except of course I can't really identify the individual (no cause for alarm) - I just see User A, User B, User C, etc...
Anyway, in the spirit of Google's Zeitgeist, here are some of the most popular search terms that lead people to RateVegas.com from major search engines since the start of the year. Some are interesting, some funny.
The list after the jump...
Technorati Tags: aladdin, aztar, bellagio, borgata, boyd, las vegas, lasvegas, lasvegassands, luxor, mandalay bay, mgm grand, mgm mirage, mirage, palazzo, palms, photography, planet hollywood, project citycenter, ratevegas.com, red rock, riviera, sands, sandsmacau, stardust, station, table games, treasure island, tropicana, trump, vegas, vegas photos, venetian, web sites, wynn, wynn macau, wynnlasvegas

I admit that I like to look at stats to the point of obsession. The guy (I'll assume male gender) who queried about the "$20 trick" has some really high expectations about Vegas!
Do you have embedded advertising keywords on this site now, or is it time for me to run an anti-spyware check?
I'm testing a keyword auto-linker from Amazon that is supposed to identify keywords for which there are books and then link up an affiliate purchase. I had actually forgotten it was on there and seeing it in action, I'm not sure I will keep it.
We don't have any downloadable items on the site at all. I'm a Mac guy - that stuff isn't even supported on anything but Internet Explorer anyway.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't be vigilant about spyware if you're on Windows though - even Vista is very prone to infection.
Thanks, I use both OSes but lately I've been running Windows more often than not. Ssome basic spyware checks turned up nothing but I couldn't figure out if it was this site or if I needed to run an even stronger utility.
Lot of "Wynn" on that list. Are you sure the Hunter-on-the-Wynn-payroll thing was just an April Fools joke?
