From the biased standpoint of a participant, I felt it was the best we've had yet, thanks in no small part to the gracious presence of Ms. Binkley, We could have done *two* hours, easily.
I subscribed off iTunes yesterday, but it hasn't downloaded yet, although I did get the 3/6/08 episode. Has anyone gotten the new episode yet?
Yes, I have. :-)
There was a little glitch last night w/ iTunes. If you're having trouble, go in there, and Ctrl-Click (Mac) or right click (Windows) and choose 'Update Podcast'. It will re-attempt the download, which should work fine.
To be extra clear, if you were previously subscribed you need to go and subscribe again with the new feed/iTunes URLs on the new site.
Sorry about that but figure it's best to cut people over now rather than later.
I think that's where I made a mistake, it looks like, on my iTunes, that the name of your first podcast has changed from "Worst Las Vegas Podcast" to "Vegas Gang-Las Vegas Roundtable". My son found the "Vegas Gang Podcast", which was the correct one, and he subscribed to it on my account.
The best thing to do is to use the 'iTunes' link in the upper right corner of the new site. That points to the correct feed. The old one will disappear.
Better late than never: Thanks to the entire Vegas Gang for an excellent discussion. I agree that Christina Binkley was an outstanding guest. I hope she makes a return appearance. The discussions on the changing pecking order of properties and the status of Cosmopolitan were my favorite segments. Very interesting!
Thanks.
It looks like Tom Breitling, formerly of the Golden Nugget, will be on next week. That's the plan at the moment.
Good insights into Steve Wynn - he really makes that impression when he's speaking that you are hearing great, insider goodies.
He ability to make a convincing argument has served him well from the days when he was able to buy and resell the land next to Caesars in 1971 through several decades all the way up to this day.
What's interesting is the effect this has on Steve Wynn's own mind and convincing himself that the takeover of Mirage Resorts was a friendly deal.
