Maybe they can redo the front of the building using some "timeless, yet contemporary" browns and greens.
Can't wait to see what they plan for Excalibur.

Another case of throwing Vegas history in the toilet for a lame idea. Honestly how much are they going to gain by doing this??? Please leave the sign up. Nowhere in the world can you see a sign like that and they want to throw it in the trash for some crappy themepark you can see anywhere.

I really don't care for Circus Circus but to lose an iconic sign from the strip is going to be a shame. Just like when MGM took the big skull sign down from Treasure Island.

I sure MGM will use brown formica in the decor of the ticket booth for the rides. The are using it everwhere else. How about the new entrance to the Bellagio buffet. 70's retro design just doesn't fit anywhere in Bellagio.
But the idea of a "mini amusement park" fits well with the place. Maybe they can incorporate the sign into the amusements.

Full disclosure: I hate clowns, even more than I hate a certain circus-themed hotel. Death of the clown is something I look forward to. If only they would rip down the rest of the resort...

Socalduck, you must have read Stephen King's novel "It" with Pennywise the clown.

I drove by there last night on the way home, and it looks as if they are already dismantling it. The marquee was stripped on both sides.
