Quickies: "Switch" at Encore, Cher Done For 2008

* EatingLV.com has a tidbit about "Switch", one of the new restaurants at Encore. Supposedly it will feature an internal environment that does just that - switches mid-way through the evening.
* Looks like Cher is having some health issues that will force her to cancel shows this year, which will no doubt hurt Caesars Palace.

My sentiments exactly!
It's true that Cher has canceled a handful of shows in the past week or so, but Norm's column makes it sound like a bunch of additional future shows are being canceled. Not true. Her 2008 run at Caesars was scheduled to end tonight.
This sounds like the restaurant on the Disney cruise line...i forget what its called but it does something similar if not exactly the same thing...
According to this totally random source, chef Tila's new restaurant at Encore will be called "Wazuzu" (look under the heading "Building Blocks" about half way down the page):

i don't even want to imagine how much a plate of pad thai is going to cost at encore. hopefully it'll cheaper than the 22 euros i paid in the netherlands.
Orbitz is advertising Encore's double queen suites larger than the King Suites. They also have a larger television and have a view of Encore's pool or the Strip (no downtown).
